Editor's review
The Window 8 operating system is literally a cut above its predecessors. From its touch enabled interface to a host of sophisticated features, Win 8 can simply change the way you work. However taking screenshots has not become any easy. Most users of older Windows OS who used the Print Screen option to take a screenshot and place it in Paint to edit it would suddenly find the interface throwing up unique challenges. There is no run button so you cannot simply type Ms Paint to launch the Paint tool directly. Rather in case of overlapping windows or scrolling images it gets even more difficult to achieve.
Thus if you are looking to snap up perfect screenshots with on Win 8 machine then you need to explore a specialized tool such as the Zapgrab Screen Grabber Windows 8 application.
The Zapgrab Screen Grabber Windows 8 can be downloaded and installed in a quick time frame and once installed it makes its way into the Windows taskbar at the bottom of the screen. When you are looking to take screenshot you just need to use the mouse arrow to select the desired area and screen grab would be immediately snapped up. Further you can make some basic configurations on this application to ease your workflow. One of its fun facts is its capacity to capture a scrolling area with ease. Further you can simply insert the screenshot directly into your word file or power point presentation. The tool though lacks any editing facility which many of us would have preferred.
Overall the Zapgrab Screen Grabber Windows 8 does manage to get you precise screenshots and earns a score of two points for its optimum performance. However the application is severely limited in its feature set which keeps it score on the lower side.
